1. Terms of service
Who we are
TradeZento is a product of ByteX, an independent technology and automation consultancy based in Tasmania, Australia ("ByteX", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using TradeZento you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What TradeZento is
TradeZento is software for recording, importing and reviewing your own trades. It is a journal and analysis tool, and it does not provide financial, investment, tax or trading advice. See the risk disclosure.
Two optional features connect to Rithmic with your own Rithmic login. Trade sync only reads your order history to import your trades and never places orders. The trade copier (beta) places real orders on your behalf, as described below. Apart from the trade copier, TradeZento never places, changes or cancels orders.
Trade copier
The trade copier copies the trades of the account you choose as your main account to the copy accounts you switch on. By switching a copy account on, you instruct us to send orders to it on your behalf. In particular:
- Real orders. Orders are sent to the copy accounts you switch on, with the size rules you set (same size, multiplier or fixed quantity), and the copied stop and target orders follow the main account's. Nothing is sent to an account you have not switched on. You can pause the copier, switch an account off or flatten copy accounts at any time.
- Your firm's rules are your responsibility. You must make sure that your broker and each prop firm allow copy trading between your accounts, including between different firms, and that the copied trades respect their rules. The copier reads and respects the limits your firm publishes through Rithmic (account status, products enabled, maximum order size and position limits), but firms may have other rules it cannot see. A firm may close or fail an account for copying that breaks its rules.
- Delays, slippage and failed copies can happen. Copies are sent after the main account's fill, so they may fill at a different price. A copy may be rejected, only partly filled, or not sent at all, for example because of a firm limit, a lost connection, a Rithmic or exchange outage, a session limit, or a problem on our servers. The copier corrects differences where it safely can and records every order, fill and skipped copy in its activity log. Check your accounts on your trading platform; your broker's records are the record of truth.
- Not advice. The copier only repeats the trades you make on your main account. It does not decide what to trade and is not a trading signal, a recommendation or financial advice.
- Your own accounts only. You may only copy between accounts you own and are entitled to trade.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement.
- Give accurate account details and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- One person per account. Do not share your login.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
Plans, trials and billing
- Prices are shown on the Pricing page in US dollars, before any applicable taxes.
- New accounts receive a free Pro trial (14 days, or 30 days when invited with a referral link). No card is required for the trial. When it ends, your account moves to the Free plan unless you have chosen a paid plan.
- Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel.
- Upgrades take effect immediately and the prorated difference is charged at once. Downgrades between paid plans take effect immediately, with unused time credited to your next invoice.
- You can cancel at any time from Account > Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you keep paid features until then.
- Refunds and cancellations are covered by our refund and cancellation policy.
- Coupon codes and referral rewards have no cash value, may be time-limited, and may be withdrawn if they are misused.
- We may change prices. Any change applies from your next billing period after we give you notice by email or in the app.
Your data and content
You own the trades, notes, journal entries and files you add to TradeZento ("your content"). You give us permission to store, process and display your content only as needed to run the service for you, including when you choose to share a performance card or mentor link. You can export your trades to Excel or CSV at any time. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter or import, and for having the right to upload it.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service. In particular, do not:
- try to access other customers' data, or probe, scan or test the security of the service without our written permission;
- overload or disrupt the service, including through automated scraping or bulk requests;
- upload unlawful, infringing or harmful content, or malware;
- resell, copy or reverse engineer the service, or use it to build a competing product;
- use shared links or referral codes for spam or misleading promotion.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, after notice where reasonable.
Shared links
Performance cards and mentor links are visible to anyone who has the link. A performance card is a snapshot of summary statistics; a mentor link shows your recent trades, notes and journal in read-only form. You decide when to create them and can revoke them at any time from Account > Share & refer.
Availability and changes
We work to keep TradeZento available and accurate, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may change, add or remove features. Planned features described on the coming soon page are not a commitment to deliver them by any date.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, ByteX is not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of TradeZento, including decisions you make based on its statistics, calculators or coach insights. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded, including the Australian Consumer Law and the consumer laws of your state, province or country.
Ending your account
You can stop using TradeZento at any time and ask us to delete your account (see contact). We may close accounts that break these terms or that have been inactive on the Free plan for an extended period, after giving notice by email.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use TradeZento after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Tasmania, Australia, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.
2. Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information TradeZento collects, why, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles and, for our customers in North America, applicable laws such as Canada's PIPEDA and US state privacy laws.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in readable form).
- Optional profile details: country, time zone, phone number, trading experience, main market and broker or prop firm, if you choose to provide them.
- Your journal: trades you enter or import, notes, journal entries, tags and the files you import.
- Broker connections (only if you use trade sync or the trade copier): your Rithmic username, the Rithmic system you chose and your Rithmic password. The password is encrypted on our servers, is never shown again and is used only to log in to Rithmic on your behalf: to read your order history (trade sync) and, if you use the trade copier, to send the copied orders. Remove the connection at any time to delete these details; trades already synced stay in your journal.
- Trade copier data (only while your copier runs): the orders, fills, positions and day P&L of the accounts on your Rithmic login, and your firm's published limits for them. We use them to copy your trades, apply your firm's limits and show your accounts' status. We keep a log of the copier's orders, fills, slippage and skipped copies so you can review them.
- Billing details: your plan, subscription status and the identifiers Stripe gives us. Card details are entered on Stripe's secure pages; we never see or store your card number.
- Usage and security data: sign-in times, failed sign-in attempts (to protect against password guessing), and standard server logs such as IP address and browser type.
- Email sign-ups: if you subscribe to tips or launch updates, your email address, where you signed up, and your consent.
- Referrals: the referral code you arrived with, so the person who invited you can receive their reward.
How we use it
- to provide the journal, statistics, calculators and coach insights;
- to manage your plan, trial, billing and referral rewards;
- to send service emails such as password resets and, unless you turn it off, the weekly recap;
- to send product updates and tips only if you opted in;
- to keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your trading data for advertising.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run TradeZento, and only what they need:
- Stripe processes payments and manages subscriptions.
- Rithmic: if you use trade sync, we connect to Rithmic with your Rithmic login to read your order history. If you use the trade copier, we also receive your orders, fills, positions and P&L while it runs, and send, change and cancel the copied orders on the copy accounts you switched on. Trade sync never places orders.
- OpenAI generates AI-written reviews on the Elite plan. It receives summary statistics and rule-based findings only, never your name, email, account numbers, broker details or individual executions.
- Our hosting provider runs the servers, database and email service that store and deliver the app.
- Google Fonts and cdnjs (Cloudflare) deliver fonts and icon files to your browser, which means they receive your IP address when pages load.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or ByteX. Some providers are located outside your country, including in Australia and the United States.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and journal for as long as your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account and journal data within 30 days, except billing records that tax and accounting laws require us to keep. Email sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your choices and rights
- Access and correction: view and update your details on the Profile page, or ask us for a copy of the information we hold.
- Export: download your trades to Excel or CSV from Import / export.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your account and data.
- Emails: turn off the weekly recap in Profile, or use the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Complaints: contact us first and we will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your privacy regulator, such as the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Security
Every connection is encrypted with HTTPS, passwords are hashed with a slow, salted algorithm, and each customer's data is kept separate from every other customer's. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant regulator as the law requires.
Children
TradeZento is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
3. Cookies and local storage
TradeZento uses a small number of cookies and browser storage items, all needed for the site to work. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
| Name | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|
tj.auth | Keeps you signed in | Session, or 14 days with "Keep me signed in" |
tj_ref | Remembers the referral link you arrived with, so the inviter can be rewarded | 30 days |
| Browser storage | Remembers preferences on your device, such as dark or light theme and import column mappings | Until you clear it |
Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout pages to process payments and prevent fraud.
4. Risk disclosure
Trading futures, options and other leveraged products involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. Because of leverage, you can lose more than your initial deposit. Only trade with money you can afford to lose.
- Not advice. TradeZento, its AI coach and its free tools provide educational analysis of your own records. Nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy or sell any instrument, or financial, investment, tax or legal advice. ByteX is not a registered investment adviser, broker or dealer in any jurisdiction.
- Past results. Statistics, equity curves and performance cards describe what happened in the past. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.
- Calculators and patterns. Calculators give estimates based on the values you enter and standard contract specifications. Chart-pattern guides describe common trading concepts for education; no pattern works every time.
- Simulated and evaluation accounts. Results from simulated, paper or prop-firm evaluation accounts have limitations and may not reflect real fills, slippage or the effect of trading with real money.
- Data accuracy. Imported data depends on the files your broker or platform produces. Check imported trades against your official statements; your broker's records are the record of truth.
- Trade copier. Copying multiplies your exposure across accounts: a losing trade on your main account is a losing trade on every copy. Copies can fill at worse prices than the main account, be delayed, or fail. See the trade copier terms.
Consider getting independent advice from a licensed professional before making trading decisions.
5. Refunds and cancellation
Free trial
Every new account starts with a free Pro trial and no card is required, so you can try TradeZento fully before paying anything. When the trial ends, your account moves to the Free plan automatically. Nothing is charged unless you choose a paid plan.
Canceling a subscription
- You can cancel at any time in Account > Billing, or by emailing us.
- Cancellation stops future renewals. You keep your paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for, then your account moves to the Free plan.
- Your journal data is not deleted when you cancel or downgrade.
Refunds
- Subscription fees are charged in advance and are generally not refundable for partial periods, unused time or unused features.
- If you were charged after canceling, charged twice, or charged for a plan you did not choose, tell us within 30 days of the charge and we will refund the incorrect amount.
- If a technical problem on our side stopped you from using a paid feature, contact us. We will fix it, extend your plan, or refund the affected period.
- Yearly plans canceled within 14 days of the first yearly charge receive a full refund on request.
- Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe, usually within 5 to 10 business days.
Nothing in this policy limits refunds or remedies you are entitled to under the Australian Consumer Law or the consumer laws where you live.
Plan changes
Upgrades take effect immediately and the prorated difference is charged at once. Downgrades between paid plans take effect immediately, and unused time is credited to your next invoice, not refunded to your card.
Charges and disputes
Prices are in US dollars. Your bank may add currency conversion fees. Charges appear on your statement from our payment processor, Stripe. If you don't recognize a charge, please contact us before disputing it with your bank, so we can resolve it quickly.
6. Contact
For billing questions, refund requests, questions about these terms, privacy requests (access, correction, export or deletion) or complaints, email hello@bytex.com.au. Please send the request from the email address on your account so we can verify it is you.
